At this point in time, myNBN is unable to update its database due to a lack of transparency by NBN Co. Data sources that previously underpinned this website's functionality have since been removed from the public domain. Until NBN Co commits to providing the same level of transparency previously available, myNBN will be in semi-archival mode. View media release »

(Previously Work Commenced) Detailed network design work had commenced in this area prior to the change in Government. Build may commence soon when delivery partners are in the position to provide detailed designs to NBN Co. Construction in these areas may not necessarily see completion.
Old 1 year plan
(Previously Work to commence within one year) NBN Co commenced preliminary network design work for these areas prior to the change in Government. Decisions on the rollout methodology in these areas is yet to be decided, pending Government directives. N.B. blue shading is a rough indication of previously proposed network boundaries.
Old 3 year plan
(Previously Work to commence within three years) NBN Co had designated these areas to have work commence within three years prior to the change in government. Decisions on the rollout methodology in these areas is yet to be decided, pending Government directives. N.B. green shading is a rough indication of previously proposed network boundaries.
Note: myNBN uses old NBN Co data to provide additional information such as the "Work had commenced" and "Preliminary work commenced" metrics on this map. While this information was accurate at the time of publication (c. 12th September 2013), as outlined in the Australian Government's interim statement of expectations to NBN Co, only areas currently marked as Build Commenced will be guaranteed to continue its rollout as planned. Approximately two-thirds of the existing areas previously marked as "Construction commenced" has since been removed by NBN Co, but will now appear shaded as pink on myNBN's map. Those areas may see construction commence soon, where delivery partners are in the position to provide Detailed Network Designs to NBN Co. The continuation of construction in an additional 900,000 premises covered by the existing one-year rollout plan where preliminary network design has commenced will be decided pending the Strategic Review.
Blue and light green shading attempts to emulate the existing one- and three-year rollout plans. However, due to technical limitations, such data could not be archived. Consequently, the blue and light green shading uses a fixed radius fuzzy boundary and is not indicative of any network boundaries — past or present.
